SUMMARY
The Trade Sales Representative will work closely with builders, contractors, and architects promoting and selling Pella products. The individual will focus on new home construction, additions, remodel, replacement projects through remodeling contractors, and light commercial projects. Additional responsibilities include window takeoffs, generate accurate quotes, overcome objections, and convert opportunities to sales. Developing long-term relationships and follow-up are key ingredients of success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strive to continuously build skills, knowledge, and expertise of all Pella products, product availability and product restrictions
- Represent and promote the organization with products and services during meetings with trade professionals and homeowners, in showrooms, at trade association events, and trade/home shows as required.
- Actively seek new prospects while maintaining current customers, including daily face-to-face meetings.
- Ability to overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers a must.
- Present solutions to trade professionals and homeowners including price, accurate sales contracts, and estimated time of delivery based on firm’s production and delivery schedules
- Orchestrate product delivery between customer and warehouse to maximize inventory turnover.
- Ability to manage sales goals, pipeline, and prepare weekly and monthly sales reports of business transactions
- Provide a high level of customer satisfaction in order to maintain required Customer Satisfaction scores, including developing rewarding customer relationships.
- Conduct outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers via telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and to sell products and services.
- Ability to enter complete customer and sales information in CRM database software as well as prepare bids in quoting software while maintaining a low error rate.
- Collect and research information needed to identify and resolve problematic situations in a timely matter
- Meet the needs of the organization’s current and prospective customers by managing and responding promptly to all appropriate requests.
- Must attend and participate in all sales meetings, company meetings, and other events deemed necessary
- Achieve all sales and Pella program goals as set forth by Sales Manager and/or General Manager

- Computer skills include the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs (i.e. Customer Database, Excel, Word Processing, Outlook, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or general education degree; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Sales experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Employee will be required to maintain Solicitor’s Permit and MHIC license as territory requires.
